When we encounter difficult or uncomfortable passages in the Bible, our natural instinct might be to skip over them or leave them in the darkness. But today’s teaching reminds us that every story in Scripture, even the confusing or challenging ones, whispers Jesus’ name. Rather than avoiding these passages, we’re encouraged to bring them into the light – to wrestle with them alongside other believers, to seek understanding through reliable resources, and most importantly, to look for God’s character within them. While some truths may feel harsh, especially regarding salvation and free will, we’re called to take the next faithful step in sharing God’s love, even when it’s difficult. The Bible isn’t primarily a book of rules or heroes – it’s the story of God’s rescue mission for humanity, with Jesus at the center making all the pieces fit together.
