David’s final battles and song of praise remind us that even the strongest leaders cannot save themselves. Through failure, grief, consequences, and victory, David points to the God who rescues, restores, and makes broken people whole. As we remember communion, we are invited to praise the God who saves us from our enemies, our sin, and even ourselves.
