The Bible

The Word of God, the sixty-six books of the Old & New Testament, supernaturally given to man through verbal and plenary inspiration in the original manuscripts that it is inerrant, and thus preserved by God so that it is supreme and final authority and standard in all matters of faith and practice.
(Proverbs 30:5, Matthew 5:18, 24:35, II Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 1:1-2, II Peter 1:21)

God

God exists in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; and that these three are one God: co-equal, eternal, and divine.
(Deuteronomy 6:4-5, Matthew 28:19, John 1:1-14, Colossians 2:9-10, I John 5:7)

The Lord Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity; evidenced by being the only begotten son of God who was sent from heaven to be born of a virgin and to be the only savior of mankind (John 1:1-3), his sinless life (Hebrews 4:15), substitutionary death through the shedding of His blood for the forgiveness of sins (II Corinthians 5:21), bodily resurrection (Luke 24:36-43), and ascension into heaven; present ministry (Hebrews 4:14-16), and His imminent return for His redeemed ones (Acts 1:11).

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is an existing personality who “convinces us of sin, and of righteousness, and judgment,” (John 16:7-15, Acts 5:3-4), bringing man to repentance; baptism and indwelling at the moment of regeneration (I Corinthians 12:13), filling to empower for a Christian life and service (Ephesians 3:16, Romans 8:9) and to unify the body (Ephesians 4:4-6, I Corinthians 14:33).

Creation

The Triune God is absolute, sole creator of the universe according to the account in Genesis.
(Genesis 1 & 2, John 1:1-3).

Man

Man was created in the image of God, that he willfully disobeyed God and, thereby, incurred eternal, spiritual death, damnation and separation from God, as well as physical death and a sinful nature as a direct consequence of Adam’s sin which necessitates a new birth for his salvation.
(Genesis 3:1-6, Romans 3:10-19, 5:12, Ephesians 2:1-3, John 3:3-5).

Salvation

Man is totally incapable of removing his own sinful nature; that God, by His Sovereign choice and out of love for man, sent Christ into the world to save sinners and that salvation is purely by God’s grace through the exercise of man’s faith in Christ’s single, perfect and supreme sacrifice and atonement for sin.
(Habakkuk 2:3-4, John 3:16, Roman 1:11, 5:8, Galatians 3:11, Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5, Hebrews 9:26-28, 10:10-18).

The Church

The Church is the body of the believers that has a mission; that mission is to bring the message to the world that a man is a sinner and is in need of a savior. The Church is one true church, the body and bride of Christ under his headship (Ephesians 1:22-23) composed of all true believers of the present age (I Corinthians 12:12-13), and the organization of its members in local churches for worship, for edification of believers, and for world-wide gospel witness. Each local church being autonomous but cooperating in fellowship and work (Ephesians 4:11-16) to set policy to avoid confusion and disunity (I Corinthians 14:40).

Ordinances

A Christian, should observe the ordinances of our Lord Jesus Christ, which are (1) baptism of believers by immersion (Matthew 28:19) and (2) participation in the observance of the Lord’s Table (I Corinthians 11:23-26).

Marriage

We believe God created humans, male and female, gave human sexuality as a good gift, and designed marriage as the life-long exclusive union of one man and one woman, both in gender from birth, and as the only legitimate human sexual relationship, to be held in honor among all people. Therefore all other human sexual relationships, as well as lust in the heart for the same, are against God’s design and against His moral Law. (Genesis 2:24; Leviticus 18:1-30; Romans 1:26-29; I Corinthians 6:9)

Satan

His creation, fall and existence as the great adversary of God and His people, the Prince of this world system and the Accuser of the brethren before God, whose judgment will be eternal doom and damnation in the lake of fire before the throne of God.
(Job 1 :7-12, 2:2-7, John 12:31, Revelation 12:1-10, 20:2, 20:10).

Future Life

The conscious existence of the dead (Philippians 1:21-23, Luke 16:19-31), the resurrection of the body (John 5:28-29), the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
(John 1:27-29, 3:16-18, 14:1-6, II Thessalonians 1 :7-10).

What to expect

We hope you will feel welcomed in our friendly and laid-back atmosphere. Feel free to come in jeans and boots or a suit and tie – both are well represented in our congregation. The service includes singing, prayer, and Bible reading, followed by a sermon.

Got Kids?

Children (of any age) are always welcome!  If your little one has wiggles, don’t worry – God put the wiggle in children.  We want everyone (including children) to participate in the service as much as possible.

-Consider sitting toward the front of the auditorium where it is easier for your little ones to engage.  If you’d like a bit more room, we also have balcony seating and an overflow area in our fellowship hall.

-Sunday School is at 10am on Sunday for children 3 years old and above.
