Jesus walks us through some uncomfortable questions: Why do we look for loopholes instead of God’s heart? What are we clinging to that we actually love more than Him? From marriage and divorce, to wealth, to serving and being served, we see that following Jesus means letting go of our “rights,” our comfort, and even our status.
We meet a rich man who can’t release his possessions, disciples who are obsessed with being first, and a blind beggar who simply gets up when Jesus calls and walks toward Him in faith. In each scene, the invitation is the same: stop fighting for your own way, and step toward Jesus with childlike trust and reckless abandon—because what He gives in return is a new family, a new purpose, and real freedom.
